Animate

Prompt-driven 2D motion graphics, rendered and exported in the browser

Design & MediaBest on desktop; partial on phoneBetaAI-assisted

Animate turns a text prompt into a canvas-commons (Motion Canvas fork) scene written in TypeScript/JSX by an AI coding agent, renders it live in a player beside the code, and exports a frame-accurate MP4 or an alpha-capable WebM. One click sends the clip to the SyncCut timeline. It runs as the Animate tab inside Studio and entirely client-side.

Who it is for: Creators, educators and engineers who want short explainer or title animations without learning an animation package

Quick answers

Where do I find Animate?

Open Studio from the Hub and click the Animate tab, or open /apps/animate.html directly. It is not listed in the Hub grid.

Do I need to write code?

No. Describe the animation and the agent writes the scene. The code is shown so you can fine-tune it by hand and press Preview.

Which export should I use?

MP4 for final delivery and SyncCut (frame-accurate, opaque). WebM when you need transparency or your browser lacks WebCodecs.

Are my scenes saved?

No. Animate does not save to the project workspace yet; copy the code out if you want to keep it.

Why did Send to SyncCut fail?

The clip was over the roughly 4.5 MB hand-off limit. Download it and import the file into SyncCut manually.
