Admin Panel

Operator console for a self-hosted TektStudio server

PlatformBest on desktop; partial on phoneBeta

The Admin Panel is for whoever runs a TektStudio server, not for end users. It shows which AI backend the server is using and lets you switch it, reports platform token spend and Cloudflare traffic, links to Stripe, and defines backend groups and their plan assignments. Platform API keys, allowed AI sources, model whitelists and logs are managed through the server API and config file.

Who it is for: Operators and self-hosters with the admin role; never needed by regular users.

Quick answers

I do not see an Admin link in the Hub. Where is it?

The link only appears for accounts whose role is admin in the users table. Set the role in the database and log in again. Regular users never need this page.

Why are the Users, Analytics and Invoices sections empty?

Their server endpoints do not exist in this build, so the cards show their empty state on every server. Token Usage, Site Analytics, Backend Groups and Plan Assignment are the live sections.

How do I add a platform API key?

Set ANTHROPIC_API_KEY, OPENAI_API_KEY or GOOGLE_API_KEY as environment variables, add them to config/keys.json, or POST to /api/admin/keys while logged in. The page itself no longer has a key form.

Does the backend selector change what my users get?

It sets the server-wide default for requests that do not name a backend. Each user still picks their own backend in Settings. To hide sources from that picker, use the enabled-sources API; it is a UI filter, not a hard block, in this build.

Are backend groups enforced?

Not yet. Groups, capabilities and plan links are saved and displayed, but no request handler checks them. The enabled-sources setting at least hides disabled sources from every user's Settings picker.
